Merry Christmas!!!!

HHHeelllooo! we are alive, and are very sorry for not keeping you updated. We have been in a bit of a rush the past week. Like we said, we were in Melbourne with Charlie. After Melbourne we took a bus to Adelaide where we took a wine tour of the Borassa valley, amazing place, amazing wine. We saw our first Kangaroos and some Peacocks as well.
We then took a tour of the town and the Botanical Gardens, and bought a ticket for a tour of Kangaroo Island. This is where we spent our Christmas Eve. We had a slight change of plan due to lack of planning. We were gong to go to Coober Pedy but realized last minute we didn't have enough kilometres on our Greyhound pass to make it all the way back to Sydney, which wouldn't let us go up the coast at all. Also we realized that if we were to go into the Outback, we'd want it to be for a longer period of time, so we could see everything.
So! Instead we headed to Kangaroo Island, and it was absoultely beautiful! We had a great guide named Robert who was the hugest biology nerd of all time and hilarious and weird like us, so we all got along great. The group of people were really nice and we met a really cute couple from Holland. We started our day early around 6am and headed to Kangaroo island on a ferry. Once we got there we went to a lookout point and then had lunch at SEAL BAY.......
We got to lie on a beach with seals. Literally 2metres infront of us was a giant pile of sleeping seals all over the beach! It was adorable. We have many pictures and videos to prove how close we were to them. Amazing way to start the tour.
We then went SAND BOARDING in what they call Little Savanah. Claire dominated the hills. We all sustained some injury, claires neck hurts , kira is sore everywhere and kat cut her ankle. All in good fun though!
We then headed to a cottage in the middle of the island that looked out on the ocean, with a beer in hand and about 15 Kangaroos grazing in the distance. It was a beautiful place to stay. Claire ate Kangaroo while kat nad Kira ate veggies, as we felt bad for the kangaroos in the distance...haha!
We then headed out to look for little penguins that come on shore to sleep. There was one that came out onto the beach and he was the cutest little guy! We then went to a crayfish farm with some crazy fishermen who had giant lobsters. It was a bit weird but hilarious at the same time.
We slept in Swags, aka canvas sleeping bags with little matts, outside under the stars.
The next day we saw more seals, fur seals this time, remarkable rocks, and lots of wildlife! Kangaroos, wallaby's, echidnas (3 actually), guanna, emu, koala and baby....it goes forever. The tour guide said that he had never been on a tour that saw as much wildlife (endangered) as we saw....apparently we were more than lucky.
We got back to Adelaide safely. We then headed on a flight to Sydeny the next morening, got here, went to the beach after drinking some wine...and by some i mean lots. Its xmas! gotta celebrate! Went to Bondi Beach and chilled, watched some lifeguards save people, played football with some irish boys and had a great meal on the beach.
We spent xmas night at a pub drinking with some more irish peopole learning drinking games and sharing stories and singing to strange songs. We are now heading back to the beach waiting sheila's arrival and heading to the blue mountains soon!! Running out of time again...Love you all and have a great Christmas! we will update more often as we are going to chill out now...

love kat kira and claire
